Welcome to the website of the Digital Economy Platform of the Ministry of Economy and Industry ("the website"). By accessing or using the website, you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
Definitions
- The Platform: the Digital Economy Platform of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Syrian Arab Republic.
- User: anyone who accesses or uses the website.
- Content: the text, images, documents and other material published on the website.
- Forms: the contact form, the volunteer portal and any other form the website provides.
About the website
The website is an information platform. It presents digital economy projects and news, and lets you get in touch and apply to volunteer. You do not need an account to use it, and no payments are made through it.
Your responsibilities
As a user, you agree to:
- Use the website lawfully and in line with the laws in force in the Syrian Arab Republic.
- Give true and accurate information in the forms, and only send attachments that are yours or that you are authorised to send.
- Respect the intellectual property rights of the Platform and of others.
Prohibited use
You must not do anything that is an offence under Law No. 20 of 2022 on Regulating Online Communication and Combating Cybercrime, including:
- Gaining unauthorised access to the website's systems or trying to get around their security.
- Spreading malware or sending it through the forms or attachments.
- Sending spam or flooding the forms with requests.
- Impersonating another person or organisation when contacting the Platform.
- Intercepting information or interfering with the website's security or performance.
- Sending abusive, defamatory or otherwise unlawful content.
Jurisdiction over cybercrime
Such acts are heard by the competent courts under Law No. 9 of 2018 establishing courts specialised in cybercrime and telecommunications offences.
Published content
- Content is published for information. The Platform takes due care to keep it accurate and up to date.
- References to laws and decisions are for information only. The authoritative text is the one published in the Official Gazette or issued by the competent authority.
- Projects and frameworks described as "in preparation" or "under study" are not in force, have no legal effect, and may change or never be issued.
- Companies are listed on the Digital Economy Map after their commercial register is checked, and each company remains responsible for its own details. A listing on the map is not an endorsement or recommendation of the company's services by the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
- Nothing on the website is legal or financial advice.
Electronic correspondence
Anything sent through the forms is electronic correspondence under Electronic Transactions Law No. 3 of 2014. Sending a message or a volunteer application does not start an official procedure, and does not commit the Platform to accept it or to reply within any set time.
Intellectual property
Content on the website, including logos and designs, belongs to the Ministry of Economy and Industry or to those who have permitted its publication, and is protected under the laws in force. You may view it and quote it for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not modify it or republish it for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Official legislative texts are free for public use.
Privacy and data subject rights
Personal data is processed under Law No. 12 of 2024 on the Protection of Electronic Personal Data, which gives you the rights to be informed, to access, correct and erase your data, to withdraw consent and to complain. See the Privacy and Cookie Policy for details.

The website may link to websites the Platform does not manage. A link is not an endorsement of its content, and the Platform is not responsible for the content or policies of those websites.
